Athletic Site Supervisor

GENERAL PURPOSE
Primarily responsible for supervising the assigned athletic leagues, programs, and community rentals at the Central Athletic Complex.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
At least 16 years of age with a strong background in athletics. Must have great problem solving, analytical, organizational, interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently. Must be able to multi-task and work calmly and effectively under pressure. Must possess excellent customer service skills and ability to handle cash.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervise and communicate with participants, parents and coaches on site.
Maintain awareness and understanding of league rules.
Assist with communication between community and District.
Set up equipment and secure appropriate equipment.
Monitor status of building activities.
Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to the internal customer that will facilitate team building and exceptional customer service to the external customer.
Follow the Wheaton Park District policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Proactively support the V.A.L.U.E.S. (integrity, fun, commitment, adaptability and growth, kindness, and service) on a daily basis.
Organize, live, demonstrate, and implement the Character Counts program for coaches and parents.
Maintain good safety awareness and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
Attend meetings and in-service trainings as required.
Assist with facility maintenance and clean up after events.
Appropriately resolve concerns, problems and emergencies that arise.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, ETC.
Must have and maintain: CPR/AED certified or obtain within one (1) year of employment. Be a "mandated reporter" for the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act.

Monday-Friday
3pm-10:00pm
Saturday & Sunday
7am-10pm
Hours will vary depending on shifts
Salary: $8.50-$10.00 per hr

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
