GENERAL PURPOSE
This position is responsible for the set-up, breakdown, and storage of tables, chairs, etc. for functions and events by the deadline. This position is also responsible for general maintenance and cleanliness of all areas used by guests.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a club, banquet, facility, or hotel. Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write clearly in English. Must be able to work effectively as a team member. Must have good interpersonal, organization, and time management skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Must be able to work the hours needed including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
Dependably come to scheduled work shift in a positive state of mind meeting dress and grooming standards for a professional appearance.
Set up and take down tables, chairs, and buffet areas utilizing proper ergonomics and according to the BEOs before and after events including ceremonies.
Store tables, chairs, etc. in an efficient and safe manner.
Clean the associated areas of the building including restrooms before, during, and after the events to ensure that every guest experiences a clean environment for their event.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work area to prevent food borne illness.
Open, close, and secure banquet areas as needed.
Notify Banquet Captain of any damage to tables, chairs, etc. as needed.
Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to the internal customer that will facilitate team building and exceptional customer service to the external customer.
Follow the Wheaton Park District and Arrowhead policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Proactively support the V.A.L.U.E.S. (integrity, fun, commitment, adaptability and growth, kindness, and service) on a daily basis.
Maintain good safety awareness and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
Attend meetings and in-service trainings as required.
Assist peers when needed or requested.
Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to: continuously move about the facility and grasp with hand/eye coordination for setups; occasionally position one's self while setting up events and; frequently move items weighing up to 50 lbs. and over 50 lbs. with assistance.
ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Must be able to: occasionally move about on wet, slippery surfaces and occasionally work in a room with loud music.
OTHER DEMANDS
Must be able to: positively handle challenges presented and follow directions. This position may have stress associated with meeting tight deadlines for set-up and take-down for events while remaining calm.
Salary:
$9.00 per hr
Hours: 12-15 hours per week
Sunday-Saturday

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
