LTL Freight Customer Service/Operations

A stable and growing logistics company in Wheaton has an immediate, full-time, contract to hire opening for an LTL Freight Customer Service and Operations Specialist.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Quoting Customers
Dispatching Carriers
Managing Freight loads across LTL / Truckload / Rail / Air
Using software programs to generate LTL, Volume and Truckload Rates along with L-Detailed Load Confirmations and Bills of Lading.
To qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
1
year transportation/logistics experience
Strong ability to multitask - this position involves busy phones with simultaneous computer work throughout the day.
Strong organizational skills while working on multiple tasks at the same time.
Strong phone and email skills needed to communicate rate quotes and shipment info to drivers/dispatchers/customers and sales people in a professional manner.
Excellent written, verbal communication and simple math skills
Ability to use online maps
Must be a solution orientated person for problem resolution & task coordination
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs - Especially Microsoft Outlook - Ability to learn web rating tools and software.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
