Accounting Assistant -part time
Under General Supervision of Accounting Supervisor, performs a wide variety of administrative duties in an accurate and timely manner. This is a part time position 24-32 hours,
Essential Functions:
Responsible for accurate data entry of all purchase orders, invoicing and reconciling of monthly vendor bills against purchase orders.
Monitors all purchase orders sent to ensure AAA Policies are adhered to.
Assisting Accounting Supervisor, Invoicing of work orders and Production jobs.
Responsible for inventory, baking and delivery of cookies for timely customer payments.
Responsible for ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory.
Entering Work Orders in accounting system and assist with job packets as needed by Accounting Supervisor.
Answer telephones.
Provide back up to other departments as necessary
Provides detailed reports as necessary to management.
Qualifications:
3 or more years experience in accounting with emphasis on accounts payable.
Must be able to understand accounting logic and operate a calculator
Proficient and accurate data entry experience required.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Must be able to communicate effectively on telephone, in writing or in person.
Must be detailed oriented, well organized and ability to use a calculator proficiently.
Must have a valid Illinois Driver's License and ability to use map quest and driving to various vendor locations in suburbs.
Rate of Pay: $15/hr
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
