Culinary Operations

Coordinate food production with Chef or Kitchen Manager.
Assist in food production for the Restaurant, Banquet Operations and specialty Culinary Events Practice Food Safety principles to ensure clean and safe work areas.
Clean machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots and pans, mixers, etc.
Sweep and mop floors, especially items that break or spill.
Take out the trash and rinse garbage cans.
Support other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.
Report kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures.
Operate the industrial dishwasher.
Wash glassware and other implements by hand when necessary.
Clean dish storage.
Follow sanitation policies at all times.
Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to appropriate party.
Perform other duties as appropriate.
Education/Qualifications Seeking local candidates.
All candidates must be available nights and weekends, including Saturday & Sunday.
No experience necessary, however, any cooking experience is helpful.
Demonstrated quality interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; goal oriented; work flexible hours as required including evenings/weekends.
Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
Works well with others.
Must complete Illinois Food Handlers Certification - Must be completed no more than two weeks after start date Position Physical Requirements Must have the ability to:
Read and write English.
Communicate verbally with staff members and/or customers with or without the use of two-way radios.
Follow verbal and written instructions.
Stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for up to 6-8 hours at a time.
Lift 50
lbs constantly.
Supervises None Working Conditions Must be available to work nights, all day Saturday, all day Sunday.
Opportunity for extended time off throughout season from May to October will be limited.
